Tracy Green for
Port Moody School Trustee

Let me be your Port Moody representative for SD43 School Trustee.

What I am running on

Priorities

Good representation for Port Moody is about listening to the needs of our community, understanding the issues, and never losing sight of the fact that every decision affects real kids and real families. Here’s what I am committed to.

If you’re here, you probably have thoughts about how SD43 can better support our students. I’d love to hear them.

Supporting every student

Every learner deserves the resources and support they need to succeed. As a trustee, I’ll advocate for the board to invest in the staffing, specialists, and classroom supports teachers need to meet every student where they are.

Preparing students for a rapidly changing world

Technology, careers, and skills that matter are shifting quickly, and SD43’s programs need to keep pace. As a trustee, I’ll focus my support on the type of learning that connects students with the opportunities and skills to thrive in a changing economy.

Protecting and expanding programs of choice

Port Moody students need learning options. Programs of choice can’t be treated as extras that get trimmed when budgets are tight or enrollment shifts. I’ll help protect what’s working and advocate for new options, like extending outdoor education to elementary and middle school, and expanding pathways in STEM, trades, and the arts.

Planning for Port Moody’s growth through collaboration

Port Moody is growing fast, and our schools need to grow with our community, not after it. As new neighbourhoods like Inlet Centre take shape, planning for future school capacity must start early, in collaboration with the city and alongside the needs of the community.

Fiscal responsibility and transparency

As a school trustee, I am committed to transparency throughout the decision-making process and will advocate for dollars to reach students and classrooms first. Our current financial picture is solid with a healthy reserve, but costs are increasing, and we need strong, engaged leadership at the board table.

A trusted local voice

ABOUT TRACY

Port Moody has been my home for over a decade, part of more than 23 years in the Tri-Cities. As a parent and community builder, I know firsthand that communities are built through careful planning, collaboration, and genuinely listening to people. Our school community deserves this same care.

I’m running for Port Moody School Trustee because I understand the challenges families navigate every day, from finding the right supports to simply wanting our kids set up to succeed. With two decades of experience working in non-profit and community, I bring a thoughtful, informed voice that will work collaboratively on behalf of our whole school community. I’d love for you to read more about my story and what I can bring to the role of trustee.
